Jack Johnson
Luke and I had our first offical double date since Taylor was born this past Friday. My momma was kind enough (we really had to twist her arm) to watch Taylor so Luke, me, Kevin, and Carly could go to dinner at Cheesburger and Paradise and jam the night away with Jack Johnson! It was the perfect night for the concert and we had a blast. Thank you Grammy Fen for allowing us to have an amazing night out!

Jenn's Shower

Fall is coming...which means weddings! We have one a month from now until the end of the year... (and some how...to my husband's delight...they all managed to fall on opposite weekends of KU home football games)...my darling Jenn is up next with her wedding on September 13th!

Ashlee, Ashley, Jennifer, and MeMy friend, Kate, got married on 8-8-08, and I was so excited to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! I had a great time catching up with old friends and spending tons of time with my fellow Pi Phi's from Mizzou. We had a blast getting dolled up the day of the wedding. Shout out to Carly (future sis-in law) who did a great job on my hair!! She also did the bride's and all the flower girls...but I did not get a pic=( So, if anyone needs a hair cut, style, or do....Carly is the girl to call! This was Taylor's first wedding and she seemed to love the loud music and being passed around all night....however, we could not get her to sleep until 1 in the morning that night....but she did sleep in till 10am!! Which mom and dad much appreciated! What a good baby=)

2 Months Old...how could this be?

Well, another month has flown by which means my baby is now two months old and it also means that my maternity leave is just about up and I will be returning to work soon. It has been an unbelievable summer and I will never forget these past few weeks with my baby girl. Yes, I will miss my baby so much when I go back to work but we are very excited about the daycare she will be attending and we look forward to meeting many new families and friends for Taylor and us. I feel like I have been off for one very LONG "vacation" and by "vacation" I mean, the hardest most rewarding trip of my life...I became a mommy this summer...and I have the best souvenir to come home to every day. I love you Taylor, mommy will miss you sooooo much during the day!

Seriously...Taylor has been on more dates in her 8 weeks of life than her mommy has been on in her whole life=) Last night she had a chance to hang out with our friends Mickey and Chad's son, Eli. He will turn 3 at the end of this month! He was so great with her and she even got a kiss from him at the end of the night!
2nd date with Hayes..
It was our turn to have Alison, Kyle, and Hayes over to our house and we had a great time this past Sunday night! Hayes is 10 weeks older than Taylor and it is amazing the difference....he holds his head up so strong and really pays attention to what is going on around him. He was definitely focused on Taylor all night, but once again she was very much aloof. We are so excited to have met new friends but are sad to say they will be moving to Connecticut in November=(...but here are to many more play dates before then!

As you can tell...after many dates, we are trying very hard to get these two together...okay, so we would settle for one of them realizing they are sitting right next to another baby=) I think Emmitt is closer than Taylor, she still has no clue that her future husband is RIGHT there! So close but yet so far. We love you Emmitt!

Bath Time
One of our favorite things to do with Taylor is give her a bath...she loves it! She really seems content in the water and we have been very close to seeing some smiles break out while we wash her hair and pour water over her tummy. The best part for us is seeing her hair get sooooo curly...it is hilarious! We had to share a pic!

Pretty Girl...
Taylor update: Taylor is 7 weeks old and weighed in at 11.5 lbs and 22.5 inches tall at her last appointment, this put her in 80% in height and weight....that's my girl!!!=)

My brother and Carly picked up their son, goldendoodle, Griffin on Sunday and we were so excited to meet him! Maverick couldn't be more excited to have another dog cousin and Taylor loved snuggling up to him in the chair. Well, she probably had no idea what was going on...but we were having too much fun posing the two most adorable things in the world...babies and puppies!
