Taylor has had many suitors lately...tonight was her second date with Emmitt...and it went much better! She hardly cried at all! These two are too cute with each other. As you can tell, ua parents had way to much fun abusing their children by posing them in the ducky for pics. We can't wait to see you again Emmitt!

Taylor is 1 Month old!
Dinner with Hayes
Happy 4th!
Taylor's first 4th of July was a hit, complete with 2 adorable red, white, and blue outfits and tons of fun at Grammy Fen's house! Maverick even got in on the fun with cooling off in the backyard fountain. Yes, this is a decorative fountain 4 feet off the ground. Our dog is nuts!! He will do anything for a swim!

Emmitt and Taylor's first meeting...
It was the day we had been waiting for...Emmitt and Taylor's first meeting! And, Taylor blew it...she was very aloof towards him all day and even cried during their first picture session together! She needs to step up her game if she expects this relationship to go anywhere. As you can see here...Emmitt was trying to console her but she was having nothing of it!
Splish Splash, she's taking a bath...
Happy 1st Father's Day!

Delivery Details...
So, I finally have a few seconds to give the details of Taylor's delivery... She was supposed to be induced on Monday, June 9th...but she had different plans. Around 9pm on Thursday night (5th), Luke and I were ironically watching "Knocked Up" when I felt this overwhelming urge to go to the bathroom. I am talking major loss of bladder control! I did not think that my water broke because only 5-10% of woman's water breaks on their own, so I figured I wouldn't fall into that category. So after spending the whole night going back and forth to the bathroom and having to change my pants several times, I decided to call the doctor's office in the morning. They got me in that afternoon and sure enough, my water "broke"....so at 3pm they admitted me to the hospital. My contractions had not started on their own so after many hours, 2 bags of pitocin, tons of antibiotics (since my water had broke they wanted to prevent infection), Taylor finally arrived at 9:36 am on Saturday morning! She was head down but face up....so things didn't start progressing until she decided to get into position. So I was at "4" forEVER...and then in a matter of 45 minutes I progressed to a 9...and out she came!!!
The first 10 days have flown by!! I keep looking at this beautiful baby girl and keep thinking that somebody is going to come take her a way because there is no way that she is mine! I am getting use to running on very few hours of sleep and and I am just trying to enjoy every moment that I can with her and not take things so seriously. I am letting my motherly instincts take over and just go with the flow (which is easier said than done for this Type A very routined girl). I have to send a very BIG thank you to my husband and my mom. I couldn't have made it through these past few days without you. My husband was born to be a father...its amazing how you fall in love with someone even more when they are holding your baby girl in your arms. I love you honey! And my mom was born to be a grandma....she has made my pregnancy so much fun and has been an amazing support so far through my first few days of motherhood. I love you so much mom...and even though I am a mommy now too...I feel like I need my mom more now than ever. Thank you for being there for me!
